Nutritional Consulting guidelines: By law, I am not allowed to diagnose or prescribe drugs for any clinical illness. Therefore, the language and terminology for the various symptoms and ailments of a client must be approached holistically, that is, treating the whole body. The therapies that are used here are always general ones that help the body to heal itself at first. If these therapies are still not enough to sufficiently help the client, then more specific approaches are used. Conditions such as Cancer, Diabetes, and Heart Disease may all have a strong correlation to poor nutrition, however, the current laws in the United States permit only clinically-certified specialists to "treat" these specific conditions. There are numerous natural therapies for the above problems, but due to the aforementioned legalities I will speak in general terms about therapies for various illnesses. Please keep this in mind as you read the subsequent webpages.

It is recommended that you notify your family doctor (M.D., O.D., N.P.) before any nutritional consulting begins.

Nutritional Consulting:

There are a wide variety of clients that come for advice. Most are physically and mentally functional, and have one or more ailments that have been bothering them for some time. Some clients are very healthy, and just want a "check-up" from a non-M.D. Some are very ill from Cancer. The person who benefits most from my recommendations is one whose illnesses, if any, have not progressed to the point of being terminal. Everyone, young and old, can benefit from nutritional counseling---my very first client was an 88 yr old great-grandmother!

I have worked with clients who have been previously diagnosed with:

Allergies
Anxiety
Asthma
Bell's Palsy
Candida overgrowth
Chronic Sinusitis
Constipation
Dandruff
Depression
Diabetes
Fatigue
General Eye Problems
Heart Disease
High Blood Pressure
Indigestion
Irregular Menses
Low Blood Pressure
Lower Back Pain
Menopause
Myasthenia Gravis
Obesity
Osteoporosis
Parasitosis
Restless Leg Syndrome
Varicose Veins

What I do is give you the information about your condition(s) and how you can use this information to help yourself. There are no shortcuts in attaining true health. No one else can make you healthy except you. Achieving health is not the same as going to a doctor and receiving a drug to swallow every night before bed. It's about learning what your unique strengths and weaknesses are, both physical and mental, making the most of your strengths and minimizing the weaknesses. It's also about making some significant lifestyle changes, something many people simply do not want to initiate. However, you have come this far by reading the information on this website. Ask yourself if becoming more healthy is worth the effort. The answer is of course, yes.

The ironic thing about supplementation is that many vitamin and mineral supplements have been clinically proven to help certain illnesses, and yet the majority of doctors are still afraid to recommend them, for a very wide variety of reasons. There is pressure to conform to the mainstream belief of prescribing drugs instead of recommending supplements. There is also the mistaken philosophy that: patients without some serious genetic condition should be able to get all of their vitamins, minerals, and accessory supplements from the food in their diet. The above philosophy has been clinically proven to be untrue.

On the other hand, there are some supplements (and foods) that may be harmful to certain people. I have extensively researched the safety, efficacy, and dangerous side effects of dozens of different supplements. I understand that not every supplement is good for everyone out there, just as "One man's food is another man's poison". This information can be very important for potential clients; it is worth it for them to understand what foods and supplements are safe and effective for them, and what foods and supplements may not be beneficial, and in fact may be harmful.

The general approach for the client is described on the next webpage (3).
